Biographie
La consécration internationale arrive en 2011 avec Game of Thrones, où son interprétation du khal Drogo impose sa présence unique à l'écran. Il intègre l'univers DC en 2016 dans le rôle d'Aquaman, personnage qu'il portera sur plusieurs films dont le film solo éponyme de 2018, recueillant plus d'un milliard de dollars de recettes mondiales.
Acteur, producteur et réalisateur, il signe en 2014 le long métrage Road to Paloma et développe Chief of War, diffusée sur Apple TV+ en 2025. Il apparaît également dans Dune de Denis Villeneuve (2021) et Fast & Furious 10 (2023).
